Due to the ongoing impact of coronavirus, VicHealth will not run the Walk to School program in its usual form in 2020.

VicHealth remains strongly committed to delivering the Walk to School program, in partnership with councils and primary schools across Victoria.  However, the continuing, and unpredictable nature of coronavirus’s impact on our communities, including the current closure of schools and evolving community safety restrictions we are in the process of modifying how we deliver the program.

We look forward to being able to share more information with you as we know that walking to school has benefits for the whole community. It reduces traffic congestion, saves on parking, helps us connect with family and friends and even saves the environment!
